Prepare for your Future

Adult Education and ELA

Are you interested in earning your GED? Do you need to develop your English skills for work?

The Mesa County Workforce Center in partnership with Western Colorado Community College is excited to offer free Adult Education (Adult Basic and Adult Secondary levels) and English Language Acquisition classes.

Adult Education classes will help students prepare for the GED test and develop reading comprehension, writing and math skills needed in the workforce. Students will first take a WorkKeys assessment to determine where to start and then work closely with an instructor to develop a lesson plan that fits their needs. Classes are self-paced and an instructor is available to work with students individually.

Adult Education classes are offered Monday through Thursday during the day at the Workforce Center and in the evenings at Western Colorado Community College. English Language Acquisition classes are offered Monday and Wednesday evenings at Western Colorado Community College.
